Theme: Myofascial influence in sport and wellness.


Description:

After being informed about the basics of Triggerpoint therapy, in this part of the Triggerpoint sequence, we wil focus on the treatment of the phenomenon of Myofascial Trigger Points (MPT) in the hip and leg region.


Target groups: sports and wellness massage therapists with a recognized diploma and least 1 year of demonstrable experience in sports and/or wellness.

Entry level: To participate in this course, you require;

  • A recognized sports and wellness massage therapists diploma and least 1 year of demonstrable experience in sports and/or wellness
  • Certificate of the course "introduction in the triggerpoint release methode"
  • Sufficient knowledge of anatomy and functions of the muscular system.
  • Sufficient knowledge of Muscular physiology.


Client population: Clients with recurring complaints in the neck and shoulder/arm region


Goals:

After the course, the participant;

  • Is able to diagnose, treat and evaluate trigger points of the hip and leg region in a methodical way.
  • Is able to construct, result-oriented exercises and self-treatment possibilities to influence trigger points as selfcare.


Study load: 12 hours.

Number of contact hours: 8 hours

Number of self-study hours: 4 hours

Number of contact days:

  • 2 meetings of 4 hours for the workshops,


PhysEducation Certificate: Yes.

Accreditation: Applied for at NGS (Netherlands) in combination with an exam
